"Inspired by the Word of God, we
proclaim God's
grace in Christ to all nations at all times." In the broader context of Paul’s message to the Roman church, he reminds us that it is never our responsibility to judge, to judge in such a way as to condemn another for behavior different from our own. Indeed it is our Lord Jesus Christ who judges. We proclaim and witness.
To be sure, the unbelieving world will try to judge us. They are looking for nothing but every opportunity to cast we believers in the light of hypocrisy, false belief and weak conviction. “Those church people, they never practice what they preach,” is the battle cry of the world around us.
For us then, let us not look down on our brother or sister in the faith. Instead let us always encourage and uplift. Let us pray for one another and hold each other accountable. And let us anticipate the joy that will be ours when our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will complete His promise, “As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me: every tongue will confess to God.”
In Christ,
Pastor Matt (October 15, 1969 - February
